Due to the hazards of whitewater kayaking and the limitations of rescue operations on this race course, we reserve the right to screen registered boaters on race day. This is NOT a race for beginner or intermediate level kayakers. There are many days throughout the year this section runs at a conservative level. On race day, the flow is dam released and will be regulated at approximately 650 CFS. This flow rate is for advanced boaters with extensive Class IV+ river running experience. If you are interested in becoming an advanced/experienced boater, we have many resources available to get you to the next level. Use your best, personal discretion in judging your skills before you register. If you're not sure if you're ready for it, you're probably not. Use the Contact page if you need more information about our paddling resources. We'll be happy to answer any questions.
By signing up, you acknowledge you have the skills, training, experience, and abilities to navigate Class V rapids and waterfalls. All paddlers must have standard safety gear: Helmet, Life Jacket, and throw rope.
NOTICE: Our safety personnel will not be assisting in retrieving any lost gear.
All paddlers should be capable of self rescue.
